What Should I Wear To My First Lesson?

I’m starting horseback riding next week, yay!! All of my friends ride, but I could never afford it, but I worked with the owner or the barn and agreed to work for lessons. My friend is giving me her old paddock boots, and I got a pair of jods on craigslist, but what should I wear to my first lesson? Do I need to buy half chaps too? I’m going to stick with riding, since I’ve wanted to do it for so long, and used to ride informally when I was little. So what are the essentials for starting lessons? I’m doing english, probably leaning towards hunter jumper. Also, what to expect first lesson?? Thanks!
